RAW is a term that is commonly used to describe foods that have not been cooked. However, it can also define a material or substance in its original, unprocessed state. In regards to CBD Oil, a RAW CBD oil will not have been forcefully heated to convert all of the acidic cannabinoids such as CBDa into their neutral forms such as CBD. This conversion is known as decarboxylation. CBDa will also decarboxylate naturally over time, hence the reason RAW CBD Oils have a balance of CBD and CBDa. We believe that maintaining this balance is a key aspect to effective CBD Oils.
