What Is Full Spectrum CBD Oil?
Full Spectrum CBD Oil is Cannabidiol Oil that is extracted in a way that retains all of the beneficial compounds that the hemp plant (Cannabis Sativa - L) has to offer.
This includes a range of naturally occurring cannabinoids, such as CBDA, CBC & CBG, and a wide range of terpenes and flavonoids. All of which have demonstrated significant potential to optimise our well-being.
As a general rule, the more beneficial cannabis compounds an oil has, the more effective it is. Because of this, we ensure that all of our products are full spectrum and remain as close to the cannabis plant as possible for maximum potency.
Our high quality full spectrum cbd oil drops are made using CO2 extraction.
What Is The Entourage Effect?
The entourage effect is a widely studied and accepted phenomenon in cannabis science. Essentially, it is where the wide range of compounds found in the cannabis plant work synergistically to enhance the benefits of each individual compound, such as CBD.
This is one of the key reasons why Full Spectrum CBD Oils tend to be much more effective than cheaper oils made using pure CBD crystal. Given that the body only tends to absorb 10-15% of CBD that is ingested orally, one should always choose full spectrum to ensure they get the best possible outcome.
What Are The Benefits Of Full-Spectrum CBD Oil?
The potential health benefits of full-spectrum CBD are vast. Full-spectrum CBD Oil can be used as a tool to supplement our endocannabinoid system (ECS). This system is present in nearly every animal organism and controls a range of bodily functions such as mood, memory, pain, appetite, and sleep.
By supplementing with the highest quality Full Spectrum CBD Oil, one can stimulate the ECS and help to promote the balance and proper functioning of our internal systems. This state of balance is otherwise known as homeostasis.
How Much Full-Spectrum CBD Oil Should I Use?
The amount of CBD oil needed can vary from person to person, and some people are more sensitive to CBD than others.
Because of this, we always recommend starting with a low strength and a low daily dose, such as 2 drops of our 5% full-spectrum oil twice per day, morning and evening. If little benefit is felt after the first week, you can increase to three drops twice per day. Continue gradually increasing the number of drops until you feel the most benefit.
Experienced CBD users will know what works for their situation.
Can Full-Spectrum CBD Products Get You High?
Whether full-spectrum CBD oils or other full-spectrum products will get you high or not depends on the THC level. Most full-spectrum CBD products in the UK only have minute trace amounts of THC that will not have any psychoactive effects.
However, full-spectrum CBD oil from unreputable sources that have not been tested properly could have elevated levels of THC that could potentially cause a psychoactive effect. If in doubt, request a certificate of analysis (COA) to verify the THC content.
What's The Difference Between broad-spectrum CBD and Full-Spectrum CBD?
Broad-spectrum CBD products typically have all traces of THC removed from the final product, but the process of doing so also reduces the levels of other minor cannabinoids that are present in cannabis plants.
Some broad-spectrum products still have an impressive range of cannabinoids. But in many cases, broad-spectrum products contain CBD with almost undetectable levels of other minor cannabinoids such as CBC or CBG.
Full-spectrum CBD products typically have negligible, trace amounts of THC (<0.05% with our products), but also boast reasonable levels of other cannabinoids. The wider range of compounds in the product leads to greater efficacy than broad-spectrum CBD.
However, both CBD oil types are more effective than oils made with CBD isolate. Full-spectrum CBD oils made with organic hemp seed oil are our favourite, but MCT oil is also commonly used.
Are Full-Spectrum CBD Products Legal?
Yes, however, full-spectrum CBD oil and other CBD products must be approved for sale by the Food Standards Agency. Refined CBD extracts intended for consumption are currently classed as novel foods in the UK. The controlled substances act also states that legal CBD products must contain less than 1 mg of THC per container.
Do You Sell Full-Spectrum CBD Gummies?
We do indeed supply full-spectrum CBD gummies. These berry-flavoured CBD gummies are made with a cannabinoid and terpene-rich, cold-pressed extract, allowing for great taste and the entourage effect.
Is Full-Spectrum CBD Oil Better Than CBD Isolate?
CBD oil that is made with a full-spectrum extract contains hundreds of active ingredients such as beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes, whereas those made with CBD isolate, such as our CBD patches, contain just one. Because of this, a full-spectrum CBD product is far superior to one using CBD isolate.
Full Spectrum CBD Oil vs Full Spectrum CBD Capsules
Full-spectrum oil and CBD capsules can both be very effective, depending on the intended use. However, full-spectrum CBD oils have a quicker onset time than full-spectrum CBD capsules. By taking CBD drops under the tongue, the effects can usually be felt within 15 minutes, whereas capsules may take up to one hour.
How Do Full-Spectrum Products Interact With The Endocannabinoid System (ECS)?
CBD itself can modulate various receptors in the ECS, which can lead to an increase in anandamide and change how the ECS works. Unlike THC, CBD does not directly bind to CB1 and CB2 receptors.
However, full-spectrum CBD oil contains many other compounds found in the whole plant that can uniquely influence the ECS, which maximises its potential to support health and wellness. The minute THC content of full-spectrum CBD oil is not expected to bind to receptors in any meaningful way.
Can Full Spectrum CBD Oil Help With Anxiety, Neurological Disorders, Chronic Pain, Joint Pain Relief Or Mental Health Issues?
Many people with medical issues seek full-spectrum products to help support their health and well-being.
However, as our products are food supplements and not medicines, we cannot legally recommend any CBD products for specific health conditions.
If you are considering using hemp-derived products for pain relief, anxiety, or any other condition, please speak to a qualified healthcare professional.
How Many Cannabis Compounds Are Potentially Beneficial?
While research into the benefits of cannabis compounds is ongoing, there are over 140 cannabinoids, 200 terpenes and 20 flavonoids, omega fatty acids, chlorophyll and various vitamins and minerals present in the whole plant. Many of these compounds have demonstrated beneficial effects
Out of all CBD products, full-spectrum CBD products contain the highest levels of all these compounds and therefore have the widest range of potential benefits.
Does CBD Have Neuroprotective Properties?
Preclinical research does indicate that CBD may potentially have anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties. However, there is not currently enough clinical evidence to recommend CBD for neuroprotection.
